Correspondence, Mayor Richard Arrington Jr. to WJLD
Title
Correspondence, Mayor Richard Arrington Jr. to WJLD
Description
Box 8 Folder 24: "Alright, moving right along to folder 24, it’s a letter from the city of Birmingham, the office of the mayor, Richard Arrington, without a date on it. And it’s a letter to the staff and management of WJLD from the mayor saying that he recently heard that a local entrepreneur has purchased WJLD and blah blah blah, it’s a very progressive step and all that stuff. I’m assuming what he’s doing is referring to his long time cohort, State Senator Earl Hilliard, who had purchased the station around 1985. From the WJLD files."
