Now for those people who didn’t grow up during this period, we had air raids. When I was in first grade was 1949 and we would have an air raid where you had to get underneath your desk and put your hands over your head. And this gives you the instructions on how to survive an atomic attack, which of course is absolutely bizarre and would never happen. I don’t want to be obscene, but we used to say that the last step of that was…anyway so this is just a little piece of memorabilia from the period. I bought this at a thrift store just because it says something about the period. There’s a few things like that."
