Box 1 Folder 15: "This is box 1 number 15, which is, which has two items in it from 1943. "Radio at War WSGN" a magnificent book in color describing WSGN and all of its employees and also containing one page of negro programming with various pictures of artists and ministers in particular and vocal groups that performed on WSGN in 1943. And there is a description as well of one of the pictures from the Blevins Aggregation, which identifies Annie C. McCray (first woman to William Blevins’ left) , his daughter who has provided us with information about William Blevins in the past. We do also identify a woman from the Carter Ensemble, Ludie Jackson (woman closest to Mr. Carter). These identifications were probably made by Don Solomon, a pastor from the Lily Grove Baptist Church who we’ve asked from time to time to identify members of various gospel formations. This piece was received from the collection of engineer Ben Franklin at his home in Calera, AL, shortly after his passing."
